I could use many different words to describe myself, but a few of my favorites include dad, husband, agriculturalist, dog lover, and photographer.

When I think about why I have a passion for photography my mind quickly takes me to the living room floor of my childhood home. In our living room we had a giant built-in wall shelf. All along the bottom it was lined with photo albums. Through these photos I could see the world through a different time, perspective, or person. I could see my  parents feeding cattle in their younger years, my mom's chickens scratching in the flowerbeds, and the infamous April snow from way back when. To me the photos become treasures, their value increased with time.

I strive to capture the moments that turn to treasures.
